How many ways can you think of to make money online? Chances are, if you’re anything like me, your answer was something along the lines of a lot or not enough. There are so many options out there to make money online these days, but figuring out which option is right for you can be daunting! The good news is that you can pursue multiple options at once, but it will take some time and effort on your part to succeed at all of them. In this article, we’ll look at 10 different ways to make money online
Develop a website for your idea and then monetize it! – Building a website isn’t hard – even a free one – and once you’ve got one, there are plenty of ways to make money from it. There are affiliate programs you can join that will pay you per lead or sale, advertising networks like Google AdSense or Amazon affiliates where you can place ads or product links on your site (1% – 6% commission), build out e-commerce functionality with platforms like Shopify, Fulfillment by Amazon, eBay, Etsy or start your own online store. You could also do paid consulting work and provide services as an expert in your field. The opportunities are pretty endless once you have a website set up. check out our free how-to guide .
2) YouTube Videos
If you have a good camera and aren’t shy about showing your face, then making videos on YouTube is an easy way to earn money. You can monetize your videos by placing ads before them, which will generate money each time someone views or clicks on an ad. If you go this route, make sure that your videos are interesting and informative. Also be sure that they’re at least 2 minutes long—songs don’t count towards these limits, but they also won’t make you any money as YouTube pays based on ad impressions.
3) social media
An obvious, easy, and free way to make money online is through social media. Twitter is a microblogging platform that allows users to broadcast short messages or updates on their status. You can create an account on Twitter for free. Once you register, it will inform you of your followers which are people who subscribe to your updates. These updates can be about anything! They can be about what you ate for breakfast (or dinner) today or just how beautiful or rotten your day was. There is no limit on how many people can follow you so why not take advantage of having a large fan base?
Facebook You’re most likely familiar with Facebook as a social media platform, but did you know you can actually use it to make money? Many people use Facebook as an affiliate marketing tool. They share links, promote sales and recruit people all through their personal profiles. If you’re good at spreading information and making connections, a large follower count on Facebook could bring in some extra cash every month.
When dropshipping, you buy items from a wholesaler and sell them for less. You aren’t handling any inventory, so your startup costs are low; however, you don’t make money until after you sell an item. Dropshipping is perfect for people with little or no money to invest in products; it also teaches business basics like how to evaluate suppliers and negotiate deals. Keep in mind that dropshipping isn’t passive income—it can take a lot of time before your efforts translate into revenue—but it is ideal if you don’t want to deal with customer service issues or need any specialized equipment or knowledge.
5) Self-Publishing eBooks
Self-publishing an eBook is one of the easiest ways to get started making money online. You don’t need any fancy or expensive equipment; you can do it all from a laptop or desktop computer. Once you learn how to self-publish, you can use your eBook as a lead magnet for building an email list. You’ll create additional revenue streams by giving away your book for free on sites like Amazon and then offering paid resources related to your book on your own website(s). If you want more help with writing and publishing eBooks, I encourage you take some time and look at Jami’s eBook Secrets Program . It really helps!

7) Freelance Writing Jobs
There are freelance writing jobs all over the internet, and sites like Upwork can help you find these opportunities. In fact, Upwork is one of my favorite places to look for freelance writing jobs online. You get paid per project or hourly based on your experience and expertise. And with a background in professional writing, you can probably pick up some work pretty quickly. Starting rates tend to be pretty low—around $5/hour—but don’t let that deter you from applying for work if it’s below your skill level! With every job you take, your skills will increase and you can then apply for higher-paying clients. This means that you are working for another company as a freelance worker. You only make money when you complete the work that you have been asked to do. This is a great side job that you can consider if you have a regular full-time job. Other things that you can do as a freelancer include web designing, and programming.
8) Mobile App Testing
There are a number of websites out there that will pay you for your opinion. To make extra money, sign up with multiple sites and test out mobile apps – you can do it on your phone as you’re watching TV at night. The only drawback is that most survey companies don’t pay much. You also have to become familiar with their qualification criteria. For example, in some cases, testing a mobile app has nothing to do with testing an app and could simply mean trying out potential features for an existing product.
9) Teaching Online Courses
The good news about teaching online courses is that you’re not limited by geography. The bad news is that it’s pretty competitive, especially in subjects like history and business administration. Still, if you have experience or expertise in one of these areas and are looking for a flexible way to make money from home (or from anywhere), it might be worth checking out platforms like Skillshare or Udemy, where instructors can build their own online course platform around their expertise, teaching skills and more. As an added bonus, many of these sites are free as long as instructors teach a minimum number of classes each month.
10) Contests and Giveaways
One way of making money online is through contests and giveaways. Companies offer prizes, like gift cards or free products, in exchange for your participation in a contest or giveaway. In some cases, you can even earn money by just sharing your opinion. If you’re wondering how safe these opportunities are, consider that companies wouldn’t be willing to give away hundreds of dollars if it was a scam!
